Well as the nights are drawing in and the mornings are crisper we are all thinking summer is over, and yes, I dare say Christmas is just around the corner. However, we are forgetting about a part of the year where we Celebrate a very British tradition and what some would say is also a very American one.
Halloween has always been one of my favourite times of the year, parties, dressing up, and decorating the house into what can only be described as a Halloween grotto. Some people really don't like Halloween, however, for me religious opinions aside it's all about fun for me, creating fabulous Halloween displays, pumpkin carving, trick or treating, children having fun and the adults most of the time too. It also brings communities together at workshops, parties and trick or treating. I know I only see some of my neighbours when they pop by with their children to check out my OTT Halloween display and grab some treats which is a great way of catching up! November the 5th has been celebrated throughout history since the Gun Powder Plot failed in 1605. Fireworks take centre stage along with bonfires and it really does bring back memories as a child for me and also gets me geared up for the next set of festivities!...... Christmas!.
